MARÍA la PAZ, is born from my dream to follow in the footsteps of my mother, Margarita. I am Iciar Bravo, also known as Ichi among friends, and I have grown up surrounded by fabrics and sewing machines.

When my mother discovered she was pregnant with her first child, she began making clothes for me. Living in Barcelona at the time, she transformed her passion for sewing into a business. Shortly after my birth, her brand, Cootchy Coo, was already selling its products throughout Spain.

My mother has always been my inspiration. When I completed my education, I knew I wanted to study Fashion Design, just like her. I moved to Buenos Aires and enrolled at the University of Palermo, where I immersed myself in the world of fashion and the industry.

In 2015, I was fortunate to receive a scholarship for a Master's program in Fashion Design Management at the London College of Fashion. After completing my studies, I was selected for an internship at Stella McCartney Ltd. and was later hired as part of their Marketing team, where I remained until 2019.

Returning to Paraguay, I recognized the opportunity to create a brand for girls with a youthful spirit. These girls desire a style that falls between childlike and adult clothing. It was then that I made the decision to establish María la Paz.

María la Paz is a brand proudly designed and produced 100% in Paraguay. We are honored to have a strong network of loyal and hardworking suppliers throughout Asunción.

Time has flown by, and I can hardly believe how much we have grown over the years. I am fortunate to have a team of incredibly talented individuals who support me every day in creating a fresh and youthful brand.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to my mom for allowing me to live and share my dream.
